Ambunu, also known as the hair cleanser, is an old tradition from Africa. Women washed their scalp with this and at the same time, detangled their hair.
Ambunu is very slippery and can be used as a natural conditioner. This plant contains saponin which gives it the ability to cleanse (the perfect shampoo replacement) and is an effective antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and an emollient.
Mix 2 tablespoons of Ambunu with 1 litre of hot water.
Let it sit for 10 minutes until it becomes gooey, gently massage it into your hair.
Wash it thoroughly, detangle and rinse it off.
